The Court: Temporary Stop Notice Issued

TRDC issued a Temporary Stop Notice on The Court on 22nd July, which prevents any further work being undertaken on or in the building until the 15th September. It is hoped that this will give the Council time to discuss with the property owner how best to proceed to repair and reinstate the Listed Building.

In addition to the Stop Notice, a planning application to replace fencing around the site with brick walls facing the A404 and brick pillars with metal railings around the remainder of the site has recently been refused. This was due the harm it would cause to the Green Belt, the site of the Listed Building and, potentially, to protected trees on the site.
